Harvey Meadows, Jr., age 92, of Roanoke Rapids, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, May 11, 2016.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harvey, Sr. and Edith Toler Meadows.

Harvey served his country in the United States Navy and was an avid golfer.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rose Meadows; his daughter, Julie M. Tarascio and her husband, Jack, of Clifton, VA; his son, Mark Meadows and wife, Jamie, of Roanoke Rapids; his sister, Dorothy Curling, of Roanoke Rapids; his grandchildren, John Tarascio and his wife, Melissa, Michael Tarascio, Jean Tarascio, Lindsey M. Rowland and her husband, Jason; five great-grandchildren, Thomas, Matthew and Anthony Tarascio, Josie Christenbury and Cash Rowland.

A memorial service commemorating his life will be held Friday, May 13, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.

Interment will follow in Cedarwood Cemetery in Roanoke Rapids.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Askew Funeral and Cremation Services.
